This is a Contract position focused on strengthening cost visibility, improving financial oversight, and delivering accurate reporting for plant and divisional leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong controllership expertise, hands-on manufacturing cost accounting knowledge, and the ability to guide month-end activities in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the monthly close process for plant and divisional finance activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.<br>• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports that provide clear insight into operational performance, cost trends, and key business drivers.<br>• Manage manufacturing cost accounting activities, including standard cost maintenance, inventory-related analysis, and cost allocation review.<br>• Evaluate production and spending results by performing detailed variance analysis and explaining monthly differences against budget, forecast, and standard costs.<br>• Partner with operations and leadership teams to monitor plant performance, identify financial risks, and support sound business decisions.<br>• Maintain strong controllership practices by reinforcing internal controls, supporting compliance expectations, and promoting accuracy across financial processes.<br>• Review product and operational costing assumptions to help improve margin visibility and ensure reliable cost data for reporting purposes.<br>• Contribute to ongoing process improvements within finance, including enhancements to reporting workflows, close procedures, and cost analysis methods.
