The ideal candidate brings strong nonprofit accounting knowledge, comfort working in QuickBooks Online, and the ability to partner effectively with auditors and internal decision-makers. Responsibilities: • Lead monthly and annual close activities in QuickBooks Online, ensuring deadlines are met and all tasks are tracked through an organized close process. • Prepare and evaluate journal entries related to accruals, prepaid expenses, cash activity, and other general ledger transactions to support complete financial reporting. • Reconcile key balance sheet and cash accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues to maintain accurate accounting records. • Coordinate audit preparation by assembling schedules, supporting documentation, and responses needed by external audit teams. • Partner with leadership to develop financial reports, summaries, and analysis for Board presentations and donor-facing meetings. • Maintain strong oversight of day-to-day accounting operations to support consistency, compliance, and sound financial controls. • Apply nonprofit and fund accounting practices to ensure transactions and reporting align with organizational and regulatory expectations.
