  • <p>Robert Half is seeking an experienced Security &amp; Identity Engineer for an exciting opportunity with one of our enterprise clients in the Charlotte area. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on strengthening enterprise security across identity, endpoint protection, email security, and modern Microsoft security technologies.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a well-rounded Microsoft security professional who has independently administered enterprise security platforms rather than simply supporting senior engineers. This position requires someone who is collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple security disciplines.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Administer and maintain Microsoft Purview to support data governance, compliance, data classification, and information protection initiatives.</li><li>Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Entra ID Conditional Access policies to secure users, devices, and cloud applications.</li><li>Configure and optimize Microsoft Defender security solutions, including Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, and Defender for Cloud.</li><li>Monitor, investigate, and respond to security threats using Microsoft security tools and Kusto Query Language (KQL).</li><li>Support enterprise identity and access management (IAM) initiatives within the Microsoft ecosystem.</li><li>Implement and maintain email security solutions, including Proofpoint administration, email filtering, phishing protection, and secure messaging.</li><li>Assist with securing the organization&#39;s AI landscape by monitoring Shadow AI usage and supporting AI security governance initiatives.</li><li>Support the implementation and administration of secure web access technologies, including Zscaler and Cisco Secure Access.</li><li>Administer Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including certificate lifecycle management, certificate authorities, issuance, renewal, and revocation.</li><li>Participate in security incident response, vulnerability remediation, risk assessments, and continuous security improvement initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to implement security best practices across the enterprise.</li><li>Support compliance initiatives and assist with internal and external security audits.</li></ul>
