- <p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a <strong>Network Engineer (contract).</strong> In this role, you will lead the design, administration, and security of enterprise network infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. This individual will play a key role in ensuring network performance, reliability, scalability, and security while supporting a growing, highly regulated organization. <strong>This role is onsite in Austin, Tx. </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.</li><li>Manage routing, switching, firewalls, WAN/LAN, wireless networks, and cloud networking components.</li><li>Develop and maintain network segmentation strategies to support security and compliance requirements.</li><li>Administer firewall policies, network access controls, and perimeter security solutions.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.</li><li>Monitor network health, reliability, and capacity to support business growth.</li><li>Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and change records.</li><li>Partner with IT, security, and engineering teams on infrastructure planning and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul>
