<p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Sr. Linux System Administrator / Engineer</strong> to maintain and optimize the <strong>Linux environment</strong> supporting and patching multiple Linux servers, as well as support <strong>Application Installation / Management </strong>across virtual and physical machines, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role involves system administration, automation, and collaboration with leadership to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performance environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Daily Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>Linux System Administration</li><li>Linus System Patching</li><li>Provide Linux Application support including installation and management and user support for incidents and inquiries.</li><li>Handle application installation and update requests.</li><li>Monitor overall health of the clients Linux environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Weekly Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide status updates to team leadership on completed work, pending tasks, and roadblocks.</li></ul><p><strong>Monthly Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>Apply monthly patches to systems.</li><li>Maintain and develop automation for application installation, network storage management, and user management.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage CAE application installation and maintenance.</li><li>Maintain HPC job submission scripts.</li><li>Implement system patching and maintenance.</li><li>Drive task automation for operational efficiency.</li></ul>
