<p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>Controller</strong> for a 100% remote contract engagement expected to last 3+ months. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will oversee a team of Senior Accountants who support multiple business units. This role will be responsible for managing the monthly close process, ensuring a 5-day close timeline is achieved, coaching and mentoring a relatively new accounting team, preparing consolidated financial statements from QuickBooks data in Excel, overseeing cash management activities, and leading year-end audit support. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and comfortable balancing day-to-day accounting operations with team leadership.</p>

<p>Qualified candidates will have prior Controller-level experience with strong ownership of month-end close, cash management, and financial reporting processes. Experience using <strong>QuickBooks</strong> and advanced <strong>Excel</strong> skills are required. Candidates must have a solid understanding of <strong>percentage-of-completion accounting</strong> and <strong>job costing</strong>, along with experience preparing consolidated financials and supporting external audits. Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills are essential. Availability to start immediately and work East Coast business hours is required.</p>
