We are looking for a skilled Senior Auditor to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating financial transactions and ensuring compliance with grant requirements for a non-profit organization. Portuguese language proficiency is essential for this position, as it involves reviewing and analyzing documentation in both English and Portuguese.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct thorough audits of financial transactions and supporting documents submitted by subcontractors.<br>• Verify compliance with grant agreements and allowable expense guidelines.<br>• Analyze and interpret financial data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.<br>• Utilize advanced Excel formulas to assess and validate financial reports.<br>• Collaborate with stakeholders to address discrepancies and provide recommendations for corrective actions.<br>• Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings and suggestions for improvements.<br>• Monitor internal processes to ensure ongoing compliance with established standards.<br>• Evaluate project audits to confirm alignment with grant requirements.<br>• Communicate findings effectively in both English and Portuguese to relevant parties.

<p>• Proven experience in financial auditing.</p><p>• Proficiency in Portuguese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.</p><p>• Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.</p><p>• Familiarity with grant-funded projects and associated compliance requirements.</p><p>• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.</p><p>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</p>
