<p>Internal Auditor - Staff or Senior (Reston, VA - 5 days in-office)</p><p>My client is seeking an Internal Auditor to join their high performing team. They will consider Staff, Experienced, or Senior Auditors with roughly 2 years of relevant experience. Their Internal Auditors partner directly with senior management team to keep the business on track. This role offers high visibility across the organization and the opportunity to make a measurable impact by applying analytical skills and gaining exposure to key leaders. About half of the audits are operational however you will also have financial, SOX, and IT audit responsibilities and get involved in other special projects. </p><p><br></p><p>Primary Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><p>Independently plan and execute operational, financial statement, and special investigation audits, including risk assessment, scoping, testing, and conclusion reporting</p><p>Develop solutions and communicate recommendations to operations management and senior leadership</p><p>Assist with audit process and technology improvements, to continually increase audit effectiveness and efficiency and provide management the most relevant and timely insights</p><p>Coordinate with fellow Internal Auditors, external auditors, and consultants to complete assigned projects</p><p>Assess and respond to emerging ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) trends and requirements</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

<p>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Accounting, Financing, or related field</p><p>1.5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with a “Big Four” or large regional public accounting firm</p><p>Excellent oral and written communication skills</p><p>Strategic thinking and persuasive skills</p><p>Ability to travel ~15% of the time (domestic)</p><p>Relevant certifications like CPA, CIA, and/or CFE is preferred but not required</p><p><br></p><p>Please apply directly to this position for immediate consideration.
