We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. In this role, you will oversee critical financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a key role in shaping the organization’s financial strategies while managing and developing the accounting team. Responsibilities:• Supervise accounting operations, including general ledger management, monthly close processes, and financial reporting.• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.• Prepare and manage financial statements, audits, and regulatory filings.• Develop and implement robust internal controls, policies, and procedures.• Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights on financial planning and analysis.• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and balance sheet activities to optimize financial performance.• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and development with attention to detail.• Utilize financial systems and tools, including QuickBooks Online, to streamline processes and reporting.• Maintain strong relationships with auditors, regulators, and other financial stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. • Proven background in the banking or financial services industry. • In-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance requirements. • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Excel. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities. • Experience with QuickBooks Online is highly desirable.
