The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. For Immediate interview please contact Victor Muller at 508 205 2136 Key Responsibilities· Financial Reporting & Close: Lead the month-end, quarterly, and annual closing processes, preparing consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP.· Manufacturing Accounting: Manage cost accounting functions, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and Bill of Materials (BOM) reconciliation.· Inventory Control: Monitor inventory valuation, reconcile inventory systems to the general ledger, and oversee physical count procedures.· Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff (e.g., AP/AR specialists, senior accountants).· Internal Controls & Audit: Implement and maintain SOX-ready internal controls, and serve as a key contact for external auditors.· Analysis & Treasury: Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, support treasury functions (cash forecasting), and conduct ad-hoc cost-reduction analysis.· ERP Optimization: Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and ensure integrity within the ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). Reporting Structure· Reports to: Corporate Controller.

Required Qualifications· Experience: 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment.· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.· Certification: CPA strongly preferred.· Technical Skills: Deep understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, cost variance analysis, and advanced Excel skills.· Systems: Experience with ERP systems and high proficiency in automating manual processes. Core Competencies· Manufacturing Savvy: Deep knowledge of inventory management, FIFO/Standard costing, and supply chain material flow.· Analytical Ability: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and explain cost variances to operations team.· Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team and improve departmental efficiency.
