Responsibilities:• Lead the planning, organization, and execution of accounting, budgeting, and financial systems to maintain robust internal controls and compliance.• Conduct financial analysis and develop long-term financial plans to support organizational goals.• Provide strategic advice to leadership on financial challenges and opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.• Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficient revenue cycle processes and timely financial closures.• Develop and implement the organization's long-range financial strategic plan in collaboration with executive leadership.• Ensure compliance with fiscal and regulatory requirements through audits, reporting, and monitoring.• Prepare and present accurate financial reports for the Board of Directors, executive management, and leadership teams.• Collaborate on drafting budgets, identifying funding opportunities, and evaluating cost-effectiveness of service delivery.• Deliver training and resources to increase financial management awareness across the organization.• Monitor banking activities and ensure sufficient cash flow to meet operational needs. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE <ul><li>BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA, CMA and/or CPA or equivalent business experience</li><li>10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a major non-profit or for-profit company</li><li>Experience in assisting Executive Management and other teams in strategic and operational planning and execution</li><li>Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management</li><li>Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and responsibilities</li></ul>The role of the Director of Accounting/Controller is always evolving and changes in corporate direction requires this position to think from both a financial and operational perspective as well as manage company financial changes accordingly.
