<p>We are looking for a skilled Controller to lead and manage financial operations within our organization based in Lafayette, Louisiana. In this role, you will oversee crucial aspects of accounting, budgeting, compliance, and long-term financial planning to ensure the organization's fiscal health and success. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial strategy and reporting, along with a commitment to fostering organizational growth and operational efficiency.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead the planning, organization, and execution of accounting, budgeting, and financial systems to maintain robust internal controls and compliance.</p><p>• Conduct financial analysis and develop long-term financial plans to support organizational goals.</p><p>• Provide strategic advice to leadership on financial challenges and opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.</p><p>• Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring efficient revenue cycle processes and timely financial closures.</p><p>• Develop and implement the organization's long-range financial strategic plan in collaboration with executive leadership.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with fiscal and regulatory requirements through audits, reporting, and monitoring.</p><p>• Prepare and present accurate financial reports for the Board of Directors, executive management, and leadership teams.</p><p>• Collaborate on drafting budgets, identifying funding opportunities, and evaluating cost-effectiveness of service delivery.</p><p>• Deliver training and resources to increase financial management awareness across the organization.</p><p>• Monitor banking activities and ensure sufficient cash flow to meet operational needs.</p><p><br></p><p>For consideration, please contact Mary Wood @ Robert Half 504-383-0743. <p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE </strong></p><ul><li>BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA, CMA and/or CPA or equivalent business experience</li><li>10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in a major non-profit or for-profit company</li><li>Experience in assisting Executive Management and other teams in strategic and operational planning and execution</li><li>Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change management</li><li>Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and responsibilities</li></ul><p>The role of the Director of Accounting/Controller is always evolving and changes in corporate direction requires this position to think from both a financial and operational perspective as well as manage company financial changes accordingly.</p><p> </p><p> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p> The Director of Accounting/Controller is responsible for the direct supervision and continuous training of all Senior or Staff Accountants employed by the company.</p>
