We are looking for an experienced Controller/Finance Director to join our client in North of Charlotte, North Carolina. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight to support organizational goals. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:• Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, accounts payable, and receivables.• Prepare and present accurate monthly financial statements, gross margin analyses, and other detailed financial reports.• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise consolidation and audits.• Develop and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and minimize risk.• Collaborate with leadership to create and monitor KPI metrics and drive strategic decision-making across departments.• Negotiate purchasing agreements and optimize cost structures to support operational efficiency.• Assist in preparing tax returns and associated reports, including payroll, property, and sales/use taxes.• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as banks, accountants, and legal representatives.• Lead the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategic financial plans.• Provide guidance and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; a Master’s degree is preferred.• At least 7 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or Accounting Manager role within a manufacturing environment.• Proven expertise in full-cycle month-end close, consolidations, and year-end audit processes.• Advanced proficiency in Dynamics 365 Business Central and Excel.• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, gross margin analysis, and balance sheet account reconciliation.• Ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable business strategies.• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with leadership and external partner
