<p>We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our East Coast based team on a remote basis. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead global revenue recognition processes for software and detail-oriented services in compliance with ASC 606 standards.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review contracts and bookings, ensuring accurate revenue reporting across regions.</p><p>• Oversee commission accounting, including amortization schedules and compliance with US GAAP standards.</p><p>• Manage lease accounting processes globally under ASC 842 and ensure statutory reporting capabilities.</p><p>• Supervise the US accounting team, guiding day-to-day operations and ensuring adherence to financial best practices.</p><p>• Prepare, review, and approve global journal entries and account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.</p><p>• Coordinate government and tax reporting, including direct and indirect tax requirements.</p><p>• Drive improvements in monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Design, maintain, and enhance internal controls over financial reporting to support organizational growth.</p><p>• Support the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules and addressing auditor requests.</p>

<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.</p><p>• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including expertise in revenue recognition and US GAAP compliance.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and prepaid commission accounting.</p><p>• Experience working in a global organization with multi-entity and multi-currency operations.</p><p>• Proficiency in accounting tools such as NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.</p><p>• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.</p><p><br></p>
