<p>Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Controller to provide financial leadership for a mission-driven non-profit organization in Oregon. This role will oversee core accounting operations, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support sound decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, steady leadership, and the ability to manage a reliable month-end close process in a collaborative environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead daily accounting activities and guide the organization’s financial operations with accuracy and consistency.</p><p>• Direct the month-end close process, ensuring timelines are met and financial results are thoroughly reviewed.</p><p>• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation for leadership and board-level review.</p><p>• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures that promote compliance, transparency, and effective stewardship of funds.</p><p>• Supervise and mentor finance staff, setting clear expectations and supporting growth within the team.</p><p>• Partner with organizational leaders to develop budgets, monitor performance, and provide practical financial insight for planning.</p><p>• Coordinate audits and assist with external reporting requirements by organizing records and responding to requests efficiently.</p><p>• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and strengthen the effectiveness of financial processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Please reach out to Jamie Benway with Robert Half to review this position. • Demonstrated experience in a Controller or senior-level finance leadership role.<br>• Strong background in accounting operations, financial reporting, and oversight of month-end close activities.<br>• Proven ability to lead, develop, and support finance team members in a detail-oriented setting.<br>• Solid understanding of internal controls, budgeting, and standard accounting practices.<br>• Experience working in a non-profit environment or familiarity with non-profit financial management is preferred.<br>• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail.<br>• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
