<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support freight operations and shipping execution for a growing team in Gardena, California. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can manage transportation activity, maintain accurate documentation, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the shipping process. The role works closely with customer service, warehouse teams, carriers, and external partners to ensure shipments move efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with established requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Plan and coordinate domestic and international shipments to meet customer demand and internal distribution needs.</p><p>• Arrange freight bookings based on approved shipping plans and confirm capacity with carriers and logistics partners.</p><p>• Source multiple transportation quotes for each load, compare service options, and negotiate competitive pricing that supports delivery and budget goals.</p><p>• Track shipments through daily communication with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to maintain up-to-date visibility on freight movement.</p><p>• Share booking confirmations, status changes, delays, and delivery updates with customer service, warehouse operations, and leadership.</p><p>• Prepare and distribute shipping paperwork for packing teams, warehouse partners, carriers, and internal departments, ensuring timely and complete documentation.</p><p>• Update container activity records and finalize compliant shipment documents after loading is completed.</p><p>• Capture freight and booking data to support performance reporting, cost analysis, and service measurement.</p><p>• Coordinate shipping supply replenishment for facilities to help avoid operational interruptions and keep warehouse schedules on track.</p><p>• Partner across departments while following company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements to support efficient, accountable logistics operations.</p>

• Experience coordinating freight, distribution, or shipping operations in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Working knowledge of domestic and international transportation processes, including carrier coordination and shipment scheduling.<br>• Ability to obtain and compare freight quotes while balancing cost, transit time, and service quality.<br>• Familiarity with shipping documentation, logistics records, and compliance expectations related to transportation activity.<br>• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear updates to internal teams, carriers, and warehouse partners.<br>• High attention to detail and accuracy when managing shipment data, documentation, and container information.<br>• Proficiency in logistics coordination, shipping functions, and cross-functional operational support.<br>• Knowledge of customs or international shipping requirements is preferred.
