<p>Amanda Warren is looking for an Assistant Controller to join a distribution company based in Sacramento, California. This role is integral to managing daily accounting operations, ensuring precise financial reporting, and enhancing internal processes. The Assistant Controller will oversee a team of accounting staff, collaborate with various departments, and contribute to the company’s overall financial strategy.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Supervise and develop a team of accounting staff, providing guidance and fostering attention to detail.</p><p>• Manage the full-cycle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.</p><p>• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports for management.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while supporting audits and maintaining strong internal controls.</p><p>• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory management.</p><p>• Oversee capital expenditure tracking, fixed asset schedules, and depreciation activities.</p><p>• Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining workflows, and enhancing data accuracy.</p><p>• Support system optimization initiatives, including automation and standardization across multiple entities.</p><p>• Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership to aid in decision-making and performance evaluation.</p><p>• Partner with corporate finance to consolidate subsidiary financial results into broader organizational reporting.</p>

<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</p><p>• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.</p><p>• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and preparing financial reports.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite, or Epicor.</p><p>• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.</p><p>• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and manufacturing operations.</p><p>• Experience in supporting audits and maintaining compliance with internal controls.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.</p><p><br></p><p>If you possess the above experience and are seeking a great opportunity to grow in your career, please send you resume to Amanda Warren through LinkedIn today for immediate consideration!</p>
