We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing development organization in Del Mar, California. This role combines team leadership with active technical contribution, requiring someone who can guide engineers, shape architecture decisions, and remain closely involved in building modern software solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in application development, a practical understanding of AI-driven systems, and the ability to deliver reliable results in a fast-moving environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct software engineering activities across in-house team members, external partners, and distributed resources to ensure consistent execution and delivery.<br>• Set technical direction, define project goals, and maintain clear expectations around timelines, quality, and release readiness.<br>• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff while fostering growth, accountability, and strong team performance.<br>• Work closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align development efforts with organizational priorities.<br>• Participate in system architecture, software design, and hands-on development to support critical technical initiatives.<br>• Oversee production releases and track progress against milestones, addressing risks and dependencies before they affect delivery.<br>• Drive the development and implementation of AI-enabled applications, agent-based solutions, and workflow automation in production environments.<br>• Promote effective engineering practices, including code review, monitoring, security awareness, and continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and deploying production applications.<br>• Prior experience leading engineering teams, including direct people management and delivery oversight.<br>• Recent hands-on programming experience with modern application development practices.<br>• Proficiency in .NET, C#, JavaScript, API development, and Agile Scrum methodologies.<br>• Demonstrated success delivering cloud-based or enterprise software solutions with strong architectural judgment.<br>• Practical experience with AI-powered applications, autonomous workflows, or agent-driven systems in production settings.<br>• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, executives, and business stakeholders.
