We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to support a long-term contract opportunity serving the mortgage industry in Boston, Massachusetts. This role focuses on building and enhancing web applications, database solutions, and cloud-based components within a collaborative development team. The position is fully remote and requires a strong background in modern Microsoft technologies, along with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work across both legacy and current application environments.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Develop, test, and maintain software solutions using C#, .NET 8 or later, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and Blazor.<br>• Contribute to web applications, backend services, scheduled jobs, and database-driven features across multiple active initiatives.<br>• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, including data modeling, advanced querying, normalization, and performance improvement.<br>• Build and support Azure-based components, including Azure Functions and related storage or cloud service integrations.<br>• Work across both legacy and modernized codebases, helping improve application quality, maintainability, and technical consistency.<br>• Participate in modernization and upgrade efforts, including application framework enhancements and planned migration work to newer .NET versions.<br>• Use Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows to manage source control, collaboration, build processes, and delivery pipelines.<br>• Partner closely with developers, architecture, and delivery team members to troubleshoot issues, refine solutions, and keep projects moving forward.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.<br>• At least 10 years of software development experience.<br>• Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, object-oriented design, and software design patterns.<br>• Advanced hands-on experience with .NET 8/10, C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and Blazor.<br>• Deep knowledge of web application architecture and front-end development using JavaScript, CSS3, and Bootstrap.<br>• Extensive SQL Server experience, including database design, programming, normalization, tuning, and complex query development.<br>• Proven experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and effective branching strategies.<br>• Working knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and storage-related components; familiarity with GitHub Copilot is a plus.
