Grant Analyst job description

A grant analyst is responsible for supporting the financial, administrative and compliance activities associated with grant-funded programs and initiatives. These professionals help organizations evaluate grant performance and funding utilization throughout the award life cycle by analyzing budgets, monitoring expenditures and supporting reporting requirements. As government agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and research organizations face increasing accountability for grant funding, grant analysts play an important role in helping ensure funds are administered effectively and in accordance with grant agreements.Grant analysts work closely with program managers, finance teams, grant administrators and external funding organizations to monitor grant performance and support compliance with funding requirements. Their work helps organizations maintain accurate financial records, meet reporting deadlines and maximize the impact of grant-funded programs.
