Robert Half is partnering a European manufacturing company in the appointment of a highly motivated and hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function at the South Manchester/Cheshire site. This is a new role due to the companies continued expansion. Key Responsibilities:<ul data-end="1895" data-start="1006"><li data-end="1126" data-start="1006">Managing financial operations, including general ledger, management accounts, and reporting.</li><li data-end="1219" data-start="1127">Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.</li><li data-start="1220" data-end="1333">Partner closely with operational and commercial teams to support decision-making and performance improvement.</li><li data-start="1334" data-end="1411">Oversee cash flow management, working capital control, and cost analysis.</li><li data-end="1512" data-start="1412">Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and external audit requirements.</li><li data-start="1513" data-end="1632">Lead and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li><li data-end="1708" data-start="1633">Support pricing, costing, and margin analysis to enhance profitability.</li><li data-start="1709" data-end="1802">Review and refine financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and data quality.</li><li data-end="1895" data-start="1803">Assist with group reporting and coordination with head office finance teams as required.</li></ul>YOU: <ul><li>Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)</li><li>Experience in manufacturing preferred but not essential</li><li>Experience operating a broader role within an SME</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, collaborative approach</li><li>Advanced Excel skills</li></ul>This opportunity is offering hybrid working with onsite parking.
