Our client is a dynamic and growing company with a based in Bath. They are seeking an experienced, hands-on IT Manager to oversee and shape their IT strategy and operations. This is a leadership role with both strategic and technical responsibilities, including cloud infrastructure leadership, project delivery, and IT governance. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day IT function while proactively developing systems and solutions that support growth, efficiency, and innovation.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership<ul><li>Define and implement IT strategies aligned with company goals and future expansion.</li><li>Partner closely with the global IT and cybersecurity teams.</li><li>Chair change initiatives in 2025/2026, influencing group-wide technological direction.</li></ul>Operational Management<ul><li>Oversee the IT service desk across multiple sites - approx. 80 users.</li><li>Manage and develop IT infrastructure, systems, and applications across the business.</li><li>Lead cloud infrastructure initiatives and manage migration projects.</li><li>Provide regular IT performance, risk, and roadmap reports to senior management.</li><li>Collaborate with group leads on ERP (Microsoft Dynamics) enhancements and support.</li></ul>Security and Compliance<ul><li>Collaborate with the global Cybersecurity Lead to ensure data integrity and security compliance.</li><li>Assist in achieving and maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.</li><li>Develop and enforce IT policies on data handling, access control, and security awareness.</li><li>Maintain and test a robust Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan.</li></ul>Innovation & Emerging Technology<ul><li>Explore and drive adoption of AI tools (e.g. Microsoft CoPilot) to enhance productivity.</li><li>Identify and evaluate emerging industry tools and trends for potential adoption.</li><li>Support automation and digital transformation projects in collaboration with business stakeholders.</li></ul> Essential Experience & Skills:<ul><li>Proven experience in a similar IT Manager or Senior IT role</li><li>Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in: Microsoft Dynamics or comparable ERP systems, Cloud technologies (Azure preferred) Networking, server management, backups, cybersecurity principles</li><li>Track record of successfully leading IT change or transformation projects.</li><li>Experience managing IT support functions, ideally including 1st Line Support.</li><li>Familiarity with IT governance, compliance standards, and certifications.</li></ul>Soft Skills & Attributes<ul><li>Sociable, collaborative, and approachable leadership style.</li><li>Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.</li><li>Excellent communication skills - able to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.</li></ul> Hybrid working is available and on-site parking can be provided.
