Financial Reporting Manager
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will lead key accounting processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. You will play a critical role in preparing financial statements, analyzing data, and collaborating on cross-functional projects.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Support the Corporate Controller in managing the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. </li><li>Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accrual.</li><li>Review month-end bank reconciliations and weekly bank transaction postings. </li><li>Ensure appropriate cash flow to satisfy business demands by managing the company's reporting, cash flow projections, and balance sheet items.</li><li>Manage junior team members to complete sales filings (e.g., VAT, GST, PST, CAT) and coordinate with external advisors on corporate income tax filings.</li><li>Preparation of documentation and coordination with internal stakeholders to complete and file for tax credits or incentive.</li><li>Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process working alongside the Senior AP.</li><li>Continuously review and refine processes and systems based on performance data, user feedback, and evolving business needs.</li><li>Work alongside the Corporate Controller and Compliance Manager with maintaining and enhancing SOX to ensure strong ITGC, ELC and ICFR related to key areas of responsibility.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<ul><li>Designated accountant with 5+ years of progressive experience, preferably in a technology or SaaS company of medium to large size. </li><li>Ideally to engage someone who also has experience from public practice as well to support the audit filings.</li><li>Strong IFRS or US GAAP knowledge is required.</li><li>Month-end and quarter-end close experience plus SOX experience would be an asset. </li><li>2+ years of experience managing a team of at least 1 direct report would be preferrable.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in developing or improving policies, procedures, and controls used in accounting systems. </li></ul><p><br></p>
