<p>Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support the Financial Controller in overseeing the company’s financial activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in daily financial operations, month-end and year-end processes, the preparation of financial statements, and supporting audit activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals looking to broaden their skills in a dynamic environment. CPA pursuit is preferred but not required.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Assist the Financial Controller with daily accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.</li><li>Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare working papers and documentation required for annual external audits.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies and address financial queries.</li><li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as requested by management.</li><li>Ensure adherence to internal controls and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.</li><li>Monitor project costs and ensure proper allocation of expenses in line with construction project requirements.</li><li>Stay updated on industry regulations, GAAP, and relevant tax matters affecting the construction industry.</li></ul>

<p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or a project-based industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar platforms).</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks, work under deadlines, and manage multiple projects.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>CPA or pursuing CPA designation is preferred but not required.</li></ul>
