Procurement and Facilities Manager
We are looking for an experienced Procurement and Facilities Manager to provide strategic leadership across purchasing, vendor oversight, and site operations. This permanent position will guide procurement practices, support safe and efficient facilities management, and help strengthen operational consistency across the organization. The role is well suited to a detail-oriented individual who can balance compliance, cost control, and service quality while leading teams and building strong supplier relationships.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Create and advance procurement plans that support organizational priorities, financial stewardship, and consistent purchasing practices.<br>• Direct competitive sourcing activities, including invitational and open procurement processes, while ensuring fairness, transparency, and value.<br>• Establish, update, and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and controls to meet applicable public-sector requirements and reduce risk.<br>• Oversee facilities operations across multiple sites by coordinating maintenance programs, service standards, contractor performance, and workplace safety measures.<br>• Lead relationships with external vendors and service providers, including contract discussions, service reviews, and ongoing performance evaluations.<br>• Support capital planning for properties and vehicles by contributing to lifecycle strategies, renewal priorities, and project coordination.<br>• Monitor procurement and facilities activity through reporting, compliance checks, inventory oversight, and corrective action planning where needed.<br>• Respond to building-related issues and operational incidents by coordinating timely resolutions and contributing to business continuity and emergency preparedness.<br>• Supervise key administrative and operational staff, providing coaching, performance feedback, training support, and development opportunities.<br>• Promote best practices across locations by developing practical resources, guidance, and training that improve consistency and collaboration.
<p>• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with substantial exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and process improvement.</p><p>• At least 5 years in a leadership role with responsibility for procurement leadership, contract oversight, or operational decision-making.</p><p>• Demonstrated knowledge of facilities management, including vendor coordination, maintenance planning, and site-related risk management.</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.</p><p>• Familiarity with public-sector procurement frameworks and regulatory expectations in Ontario; broader public sector experience is considered an asset.</p><p>• Certification in procurement or contract management is preferred.</p><p>• Experience working with ERP platforms such as Epicor and strong capability in reporting, systems use, and administrative oversight.</p><p><br></p>
