Accounts Payable Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments for our non-profit organization. This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a collaborative environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.<br>• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.<br>• Prepare and issue payments to vendors in a timely manner.<br>• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and organize supporting documentation.<br>• Assist in month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.<br>• Monitor vendor accounts to ensure timely payments and address any inquiries.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies.<br>• Use Excel to track and analyze data for reporting purposes.<br>• Support audits by providing requested documentation and information as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas and data analysis.<br>• Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.<br>• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and systems is an asset.<br>• Knowledge of non-profit financial operations is preferred.<br>• A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is an advantage.
