We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our clients team on a short term contract basis in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounting processes and year-end preparations. Working in a hybrid environment, this role will focus on ensuring accuracy in financial records, supporting audit readiness, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:• Perform detailed variance analyses to identify and explain discrepancies in financial data.• Manage cash flow and fixed assets while preparing for upcoming audits.• Assist in year-end processes and schedules, ensuring all records are ready for auditors.• Conduct reconciliations of accounts, including bank, balance sheet, and general ledger accounts.• Utilize NetSuite software to streamline accounting operations and maintain accurate records.• Support the preparation of financial schedules related to year-end reporting.• Analyze complex contracts and revenue recognition processes to ensure proper accounting treatment.• Collaborate with the team to understand unique inventory systems and industry-specific accounting practices.• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role. • Proficiency in NetSuite software is essential. • Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet. • Expertise in year-end processes and audit preparation. • Familiarity with variance analysis and fixed asset management. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Ability to adapt to unique business contracts and revenue recognition practices. • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
