<p><strong>Divisional Controller </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Niagara Falls, ON (5 days onsite)</p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> 6–8 weeks, can be extended if required</p><p><br></p><p>Our client, a large and diverse organization within the aggregates and construction sector, is seeking an experienced <strong>Divisional Controller</strong> to support a complex, high-volume business unit during a short-term leave coverage.</p><p>This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the full accounting function for a sizeable division, with a focus on ensuring continuity, accuracy, and strong financial oversight in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee full-cycle accounting for a large, multi-faceted division</li><li>Lead and support Accounting team with various requests</li><li>Review and approve journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness</li><li>Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and perform detailed variance analysis</li><li>Manage month-end close process and financial reporting deliverables</li><li>Oversee fixed assets (transfers, capitalization, and depreciation, etc.)</li><li>Support manufacturing accounting, including costing, inventory adjustments, and financial reporting</li><li>Review sales reconciliations to ensure alignment and accuracy</li><li>Review HST returns and maintain integrity of the chart of accounts structure</li><li>Provide financial support to operations, responding to ad hoc inquiries and business needs</li><li>Work extensively in Oracle Cloud ERP and advanced Excel models</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>CPA or other relevant accounting designation preferred</li><li>Strong experience in divisional or operational accounting within manufacturing, construction, or similar industries</li><li>Proven ability to manage complex accounting structures (multi-entity, cost center-driven environments)</li><li>Hands-on experience with inventory, costing, and financial statement preparation</li><li>Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems (Oracle Cloud preferred)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate a high-volume, fast-paced environment</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, responsive approach to supporting operations</li></ul><p><br></p>
