We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will focus on managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate cash applications, and providing exceptional customer service. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong analytical skills and a background in accounts receivable. Responsibilities: • Communicate directly with customers to address and resolve inquiries related to financial transactions. • Process and investigate various payment methods, including lockbox, tele-banking, and electronic fund transfers. • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records are maintained. • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable cycle, ensuring timely receipt and recording of payments. • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in payment applications with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payment workflows and improve processes. • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field. • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a large corporate setting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication and customer service abilities. • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with payment processing systems, including lockbox and electronic fund transfers.
