Client Services IT Technician
<p><strong>THE ROLE: </strong></p><p>We’re helping our Edmonton client find a talented and dedicated Client Services IT Technician with strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving technical issues involving hardware, software, and networks. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional first-line technical support, ensuring systems run smoothly, and maximizing productivity across the board. Working both in person and remotely, you'll collaborate with users to identify and address concerns while maintaining a sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service.</p><p><em>Key Responsibilities:</em></p><ul><li><strong>Primary Technical Support:</strong> Act as the front-line contact for users, addressing tickets and resolving technical issues related to computers, software, and hardware via phone, email, or in person</li><li><strong>Systems Maintenance:</strong> Perform day-to-day system maintenance, including installations, repairs, and optimization of computer systems</li><li><strong>Issue Resolution:</strong> Analyze customer-reported problems, diagnose root causes, and provide step-by-step guidance to implement effective solutions, leveraging diagnostic tools as needed</li><li><strong>Networking Expertise:</strong> Handle troubleshooting for Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and third-party systems, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity</li><li><strong>Client Engagement:</strong> Follow up with users to confirm resolutions, gather feedback on IT systems, and ensure a seamless user experience</li><li><strong>Consultative Role:</strong> Recommend tailored IT solutions based on customers’ unique needs and requirements</li><li><strong>Billing Management:</strong> Responsible for timely submission of billable calendar entries to the Accounting Department to support client invoicing</li></ul><p><strong>WHY THIS ROLE?</strong></p><p>This is your chance to be part of a thriving and fast-growing organization that values its team members and fosters a dynamic work environment. <p><strong>WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:</strong></p><p>Our ideal candidate should bring the following blend of technical knowledge, experience, and interpersonal skills:</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong> At least 2 years in a Microsoft 365 administration and licensing role, with strong expertise in technical support for computer systems and Office applications</p><p><strong>Core Technical Skills:</strong></p><p>·      Familiarity with PC deployment, general server management, and Windows Server administration</p><p>·      Hands-on experience with server backup solutions like Veeam and Windows Backup</p><p>·      Server and workstation AV knowledge</p><p>·      Proficiency in antivirus solutions for both servers and workstations</p><p>·      Knowledge of PC, network, and server hardware, as well as basic storage systems like NAS, SAN, and RAID.</p><p>·      Experience with Windows operating systems (7 to 11 Pro), Windows Server (2008 to 2025), and Office applications.</p><p><strong>Adaptability:</strong> Ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot new or unfamiliar technologies</p><p><strong>Communication:</strong> Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively to non-technical users</p><p><strong>Problem-Solving Abilities:</strong> Analytical mindset for identifying issues and implementing creative, scalable solutions</p><p><strong>Customer Service Excellence:</strong> A strong commitment to delivering quality assistance to users and maintaining client satisfaction</p><p><strong>Attention to Detail:</strong> Highly organized with the ability to keep accurate records and manage multiple priorities</p><p><strong>Industry Knowledge:</strong> Familiarity with key industries like finance, technology, or healthcare is an asset</p><p> </p><p>If you’re a motivated IT professional with a passion for solving complex challenges and delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you.
