We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to join our manufacturing client. In this long-term 18 month maternity contract role, you will oversee financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls while supporting key stakeholders and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the manufacturing industry through leadership and strategic financial management. Responsibilities:• Manage the month-end close process and prepare financial statements within established timelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.• Oversee the consolidation of financial data for seven active entities, including corporate headquarters, and prepare necessary elimination entries.• Review accounts payable processes to maintain efficiency and accuracy.• Lead the preparation of year-end working paper files and act as the primary contact for external auditors.• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including consolidations and inter-company transactions.• Provide support for greenhouse operations, including inventory management and related financial activities.• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to align with organizational and regulatory standards.• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to address complex financial matters and provide clear, actionable insights.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and working with large datasets. • Strong experience in financial consolidations, including elimination entries and inter-company transactions. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and external partners. • Familiarity with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. • Experience with public reporting and external financial audits is an asset. • Background in SOX compliance and SEC reporting is advantageous. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex financial processes.
