<p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Accountant</strong> for a long-term contract in Calgary. This role focuses on month-end activities, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and supporting intermediate accountants while driving process improvements and automation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Complete month-end postings (inventory, journals) and ensure compliance.</li><li>Analyze and reconcile GL accounts; prepare intercompany reports.</li><li>Support and guide intermediate accountants.</li><li>Work with large datasets using advanced Excel tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).</li><li>Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.</li><li>Partner with Analytics, Operations, and other teams to resolve financial questions.</li><li>Use systems like Dynamics Navision and adapt to new tools (e.g., Oracle).</li><li>Reconcile monthly accounts, including accruals, reclasses, and inventory adjustments.</li><li>Ensure all accounting activities meet deadlines and business requirements.</li></ul><p><br></p>
