We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee manufacturing activities in a fertilizer production setting in Brampton, Ontario. This position is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and consistent output while supporting product quality and on-time delivery. The role also offers increasing exposure to broader plant leadership, including operational planning, cost performance, and site-wide decision-making. Responsibilities: • Direct daily production activities across blending, processing, and packaging operations to achieve output, quality, and service objectives. • Build and adjust production schedules in response to demand, operating conditions, and performance results. • Lead supervisors and plant employees through coaching, performance management, and development planning to strengthen team capability. • Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing regulatory requirements, conducting hazard reviews, and leading investigations with corrective follow-up. • Track operational indicators such as throughput, labour effectiveness, downtime, and waste, and take action to improve results. • Work closely with maintenance teams to support equipment reliability, coordinate preventative work, and reduce unplanned interruptions. • Partner with supply chain and commercial stakeholders to support customer commitments, material availability, and timely issue resolution. • Oversee material movement and inventory accuracy while helping manage production costs through effective use of labour and resources. • Identify process constraints and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and operational consistency. • Support the Plant Manager with site planning, financial awareness, regulatory oversight, and leadership coverage when required.

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in fertilizer, chemical, or bulk materials operations. • Demonstrated success managing production in a safety-sensitive industrial environment. • Strong working knowledge of materials handling, vendor and supplier coordination, and production planning. • Experience monitoring operational performance, controlling costs, and improving plant efficiency. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. • CPIM certification is considered an asset. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical leadership experience in manufacturing. • Strong judgement, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced production environment.
