Director of Information Systems & Technology
We are looking for an experienced technology leader to guide the information systems and technology function for a healthcare-related organization based in Brampton, Ontario. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can quickly evaluate the current environment, bring stability to critical operations, and provide steady leadership during a period of transition. The role calls for a hands-on executive who can strengthen service delivery, support business priorities, and help move key post-implementation initiatives forward in a fast-moving setting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Review the current technology landscape, identify urgent operational issues, and establish clear priorities to restore stability and momentum.<br>• Lead day-to-day IT operations across infrastructure, enterprise platforms, security, and service delivery to ensure dependable business support.<br>• Assess team capabilities, clarify accountability, and provide leadership that strengthens performance and collaboration across the technology function.<br>• Advance outstanding post-launch and post-acquisition initiatives, including work connected to ERP and integrated business systems.<br>• Partner with operations, marketing, and other business leaders to align technology efforts with organizational goals and high-impact priorities.<br>• Improve platform adoption, operational discipline, and service processes to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.<br>• Oversee data, business intelligence, system integrations, and customer-facing digital tools to support informed decision-making and seamless business processes.<br>• Recommend practical strategies for modernizing the technology environment and evolving the function toward a stronger product and platform mindset.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information technology leadership, including oversight at the manager or director level.<br>• Proven success leading enterprise technology within healthcare, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or similarly complex operational environments.<br>• Demonstrated ability to stabilize IT functions, assess risk quickly, and resolve pressing operational challenges in a time-sensitive setting.<br>• Strong knowledge of ERP environments, cloud technologies, infrastructure, servers, security, CRM platforms, and enterprise integrations.<br>• Experience delivering digital transformation initiatives, post-acquisition integration work, or major post-implementation improvement programs.<br>• Solid background in data and BI ecosystems, service improvement, and building effective operating frameworks for technology teams.<br>• Ability to lead teams through change, develop strong people leaders, and foster durable, high-performing technology organizations.<br>• A relevant university degree or advanced education in technology, business, or a related discipline is preferred.
