We believe it’s important to support the communities where Robert Half employees live and work. Most of our company-sponsored philanthropic programs are focused on education and workforce development, which make them a great fit for us, given the nature of our work.
We’re proud to have built long-standing relationships with many community partners, including the following:
- Boys & Girls Clubs of America
- Dress for Success
- Junior Achievement
Every year, Robert Half donates to both the American Red Cross and Canadian Red Cross for disaster relief to help those who need it most.
Robert Half encourages our employees to take the lead through volunteer work and fundraising activities that support the issues that matter most to them personally. Every year, each part- and full-time employee can have their donations and volunteer hours matched up to $1,500:
- Robert Half will match donations made to eligible nonprofit organizations.
- The company will match totals for participating in actively-based fundraising, like walks, rides and runs.
- For every hour an employee volunteers with an eligible nonprofit, Robert Half will give a $15 “Happy Hours” grant to that charity.
During our annual Suit Drive, we work with clients, job candidates and business contacts to collect professional suits and separates for economically disadvantaged job seekers. We’re committed to assisting people in every step of the job search process, including feeling confident during an interview.
2018 was a record-breaking year for our Suit Drive: We collected more than 42,000 items, including shoes, accessories, and dresses, across 110 offices and four Corporate Services locations across North America. Since 2002, we have collected a grand total of 363,500 items for job seekers who seek assistance from Dress for Success and similar organizations.
Our 2019 Suit Drive takes place August 5 – 16. Interested in donating? Email [email protected]berthalf.com to find out if an office near you is participating.
Holiday Giving program
We started Holiday Giving in 2006, providing opportunity for Robert Half offices across North America to support their local communities. Projects range from toy, food and clothing drives to organizing parties for children in foster care.
In 2018, teams from 75 offices collected more than 10,000 toys and games, bringing our total to more than 140,000 since we launched the Holiday Giving program.
Week of Service
We held our second Week of Service in May 2018. Nearly 600 employees from our Corporate Services locations in North America participated in 29 events with different nonprofits. Our teams logged more than 1,600 hours participating in activities such as meal packing, garden cleanup and renovating a middle school playground.
Nonprofit partner spotlight: Dress for Success
Our partnership with Dress for Success began in 2005. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence and thrive in work and life. We support the organization by providing speakers for the organization’s events, offering access to training courses, sponsoring its annual Success Summit and collecting interview attire during our annual Suit Drive.
Information for nonprofits seeking grants
At Robert Half, we value the insights and priorities of our employees when evaluating grant requests. That’s why we provide options for nonprofit organizations seeking funding, all of which include input from our employees.
