- <p>Robert Half is seeking an <strong>Azure Systems Engineer</strong> to support a complex cloud infrastructure environment within the aerospace industry. This role focuses on designing, automating, and maintaining Microsoft Azure environments while implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud operations.</p><p> </p><p>This position works closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to build highly available cloud infrastructure while reducing manual configuration through automation.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duration</strong>: 6-month contract (potential to extend) </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> 100% Onsite in Lynnwood, Washington </p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday-Friday (no later than 7AM-4PM) </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, deploy, and maintain <strong>Microsoft Azure infrastructure</strong> using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as <strong>Terraform</strong></li><li>Manage the full lifecycle of Azure resources including <strong>subscriptions, networking, compute, storage, and platform services</strong></li><li>Implement and support Azure networking components including <strong>VNets, NSGs, firewalls, load balancers, and connectivity solutions</strong></li><li>Deploy and manage <strong>Azure compute services</strong>, including virtual machines, scale sets, and platform services</li><li>Integrate Azure infrastructure with <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> to enable automated provisioning and updates</li><li>Support identity and access management using <strong>Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, managed identities, and conditional access</strong></li><li>Monitor system performance using <strong>Azure Monitor and Log Analytics</strong> and implement proactive remediation and alerting</li><li>Implement and support <strong>backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity</strong> solutions within Azure</li><li>Collaborate with security teams to implement <strong>Azure security best practices and compliance controls</strong></li><li>Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform <strong>root cause analysis</strong></li><li>Develop and maintain <strong>technical documentation, operational runbooks, and infrastructure standards</strong></li><li>Assist with <strong>cloud cost optimization and capacity planning</strong></li></ul>
