This newly created leadership position will oversee financial operations across multiple locations and projects throughout the southeast region. Our client is seeking an experienced accounting leader with a strong background in construction accounting, regional financial oversight, and team development. We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support financial operations for a healthcare organization in Tampa, Florida. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting receivables activity, assisting with payroll administration, and contributing to audit readiness and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong bookkeeping experience, sound judgment with confidential information, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. This opportunity is well suited for someone who can manage recurring transactional work while also assisting with special reporting needs. Responsibilities: • Support preparation efforts for the annual financial statement audit by organizing records, reconciling data, and responding to documentation requests. • Monitor outstanding customer balances across multiple business areas, follow up on overdue accounts, and work with internal leaders to improve collections performance. • Produce account aging summaries and monthly collection reports, highlighting trends and issues that require departmental attention. • Generate and distribute recurring customer statements and ensure account activity is reflected accurately in billing records. • Record deposits from multiple payment channels in the accounting system and reconcile receipts against bank activity and accounts receivable balances. • Prepare and process monthly invoices for designated service lines, including routine charges, supporting documentation, and customer communication. • Serve as a backup resource for payroll processing, handling wage calculations, deductions, adjustments, and related payroll transactions as needed. • Review time records, payroll reports, and exception items for completeness and accuracy, coordinating corrections with managers and the external payroll processor. • Help maintain compliance with payroll regulations and support required filings, reporting, and other finance-related special projects as assigned.
