This position is ideal for an accounting specialist with strong attention to detail who can interpret complex guidance, improve reporting processes, and deliver accurate results within quarterly and annual deadlines. Responsibilities: • Research emerging and updated accounting guidance and assess how it affects transactions, reporting positions, and corporate accounting practices. • Prepare technical accounting analyses and supporting memoranda for areas such as equity-based compensation, hedging activity, segment disclosures, lease accounting, and impairment considerations. • Coordinate periodic external reporting activities, including major regulatory filings, earnings-related disclosures, and supporting schedules tied to the reporting calendar. • Produce quarterly and annual financial statement components, including cash flow reporting, and review data tagging accuracy for electronic filing requirements. • Draft and refine disclosures related to new accounting standards, significant transactions, and notable changes in financial results. • Execute key reporting controls by completing disclosure check procedures, reconciliations, certifications, and detailed tie-out reviews. • Evaluate industry reporting practices, regulatory correspondence trends, and peer disclosures to recommend enhancements to company reporting and policy positions. • Maintain and update accounting policies, support audit requests, and contribute to process improvements using reporting tools such as Workiva, Hyperion, or similar systems. • Partner with internal teams on special finance projects, provide reporting support for related compliance activities, and help train stakeholders on reporting tools and accounting updates.
