We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a non-profit organization in Rochester, New York. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming experience for visitors while managing a high volume of incoming calls with accuracy and courtesy. The person in this role will serve as an important first point of contact and help keep communication flowing smoothly throughout the office.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Welcome visitors warmly, assist with front-desk inquiries, and ensure guests are directed to the appropriate staff or department.<br>• Manage a multi-line phone system by answering incoming calls promptly, transferring callers efficiently, and taking clear messages when needed.<br>• Provide consistent telephone coverage throughout the workday to maintain reliable communication with clients, partners, and community members.<br>• Support general reception activities such as monitoring the front area, responding to routine questions, and maintaining a detail-oriented office presence.<br>• Route calls through the switchboard with attention to accuracy so inquiries reach the correct internal contacts without delay.<br>• Record and relay important caller information to staff members to help ensure timely follow-up and strong customer service.<br>• Assist with basic administrative tasks connected to reception operations and day-to-day office coordination.
