  • <p>Robert Half is searching for Sr. SCADA Project manager to support a natural gas company based in Portland. This role involves managing all aspects of system replacement projects, including planning, execution, and team coordination. As part of a long-term contract position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and successful project delivery.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duration: </strong>through the end of Sept 2026</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Hybrid - 2 days onsite in Portland, OR</p><p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and manage the end‑to‑end project plan for SCADA system replacement, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality targets.</li><li>Lead project governance activities in alignment with PMO standards, including status reporting, risk and issue management, and stakeholder communication.</li><li>Coordinate requirements gathering and ensure both current-state and future-state operational needs are captured to enable successful migration and cutover.</li><li>Oversee all activities related to transitioning from the legacy SCADA system, including data migration, point‑to‑point verification, interface mapping, and operational continuity planning.</li><li>Develop and manage a detailed cutover strategy, including phased migration, fallback planning, parallel operations (as needed), and post‑cutover validation.</li><li>Manage vendor selection, contracting, and performance, ensuring alignment with cutover milestones, integration requirements, and acceptance criteria.</li><li>Partner with Engineering, IT, OT, cybersecurity, and field operations to guide system design, network architecture, and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Direct integration activities such as PLC/RTU upgrades, historian migration, alarm strategy rationalization, and system interoperability testing.</li><li>Lead system testing cycles including FAT, SAT, end‑to‑end testing, redundancy failover validation, and user acceptance testing.</li><li>Work with Operations and field teams to develop and execute commissioning plans, operational readiness activities, and training on the new SCADA environment.</li><li>Drive organizational change management and communication efforts to support a smooth transition from the legacy system.</li><li>Manage cutover execution, monitor stability during the transition period, and ensure timely resolution of issues.</li><li>Oversee the handoff to steady-state support, including documentation, warranty tracking, and transition to maintenance teams.</li></ul>
