Briefcase is the primary application used by lawyers and paralegals to manage cases from intake through resolution.<br><br>The company has evaluated two third-party AI tools for integration with Briefcase and determined that neither provides sufficient value for the cost. Leadership has decided to pursue a fully internal AI development initiative, customized to the firm&#39;s specific workflows and case management processes.<br><br>The goal of the AI initiative is to reduce the administrative burden on attorneys, allowing them to stay focused on casework rather than day-to-day operational tasks. The hire being sought will lead this effort from requirements gathering through implementation planning.<br><br>Role Overview<br>This is not a pure developer role and it is not a traditional Salesforce Administrator role. The client is looking for a multidisciplinary professional who bridges three domains:<br><br>• Salesforce platform expertise (development background, not just administration)<br>• AI project experience (prior delivery of AI solutions in an enterprise context)<br>• Project management (structured requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, implementation planning)<br><br>The person will embed with the firm, learn the Briefcase application and internal workflows end-to-end, gather requirements from attorneys and the board, and then design and lead the roadmap for building a custom AI layer on top of Briefcase.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br>• Learn Briefcase inside and out: understand how cases are opened, developed, and closed within the platform<br>• Conduct structured requirements sessions with lawyers, paralegals, and board members to capture AI needs<br>• Translate business requirements into a concrete AI implementation roadmap on the Salesforce platform<br>• Serve as the primary liaison between the business stakeholders and the existing backend development team<br>• Evaluate build options and guide internal development of a custom AI solution integrated with Briefcase<br>• Manage the project lifecycle from discovery through deployment<br><br>Must-Have Requirements<br>Salesforce Expertise<br>• Salesforce development background (not just admin-level)<br>• Understanding of Salesforce architecture: queries, integrations, APIs, and data modeling<br>• Ability to speak credibly with the backend dev team about how Briefcase is built and how it operates<br><br>AI Project Experience<br>• Prior experience delivering AI projects in a production environment<br>• Familiarity with integrating AI/ML capabilities into existing enterprise platforms<br>• Able to evaluate build-vs-buy decisions and recommend an approach with justification<br><br>Project Management<br>• Experienced project manager, specifically on technical/AI initiatives<br>• Capable of sitting with a board and attorneys, facilitating requirements discussions, and synthesizing outputs into an actionable project plan<br>• Strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders<br><br>Seniority<br>• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience<br>• The client needs someone who can operate independently and drive the initiative forward without heavy guidance<br><br>Nice-to-Have<br>• Experience in the legal industry or with legal software/workflows<br>• Prior exposure to case management platforms or CRM customization for professional services firms
