- <p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's corporate accounting team in either Meridian or Gulfport, Mississippi. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial health. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvements and work collaboratively across departments.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare financial reports, including financial statements and budget performance analyses.</p><p>• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal control systems.</p><p>• Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and procedures.</p><p>• Record, report, and analyze financial data with accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead improvement initiatives.</p><p>• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.</p><p>• Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals.</p><p><br></p><p>We have placed several people with this client in multiple locations and everyone loves working for this third generation, family owned business that takes great care of their employees.
