The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, proven leadership experience, and the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed.Responsibilities:• Lead and support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.• Manage the month-end and period-end close process, including review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.• Oversee revenue-related accounting, including recognition, deferrals, and related adjustments, ensuring alignment with applicable accounting standards.• Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and business teams to ensure accurate financial data and support business initiatives.• Review and analyze financial results, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improved reporting and decision-making.• Evaluate existing accounting processes and internal controls, recommending and implementing improvements to drive efficiency and reduce risk.• Provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff, assisting with problem resolution, prioritization of work, and overall team performance.• Support audit activities by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and maintaining organized documentation.• Assist with system utilization and optimization, including identifying ways to leverage ERP functionality to streamline accounting workflows.• Prepare internal reporting and support ad hoc analysis as needed by leadership.
