Responsibilities:• Direct the full general ledger function and ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.• Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial statements, delivering clear reporting that supports business decisions.• Lead the closing process, including bringing delayed close timelines back on schedule and improving overall reporting cadence.• Provide day-to-day guidance to the accounting team while serving as a working manager who can assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll activities as needed.• Monitor account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules to maintain strong internal financial controls.• Partner with internal stakeholders to address accounting issues, support operational needs, and work effectively across a range of communication styles.• Use ERP and accounting platforms effectively, including environments such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Great Plains, to support accurate transaction processing and reporting.• Contribute accounting leadership within a distribution-based business setting, helping align financial processes with operational demands. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000. The salary range for this position is $118,000 to $140,000.
