We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee core accounting operations and provide financial leadership for a growing organization supporting a security industry and government contract work. This contract position has the potential to become permanent offering the opportunity to guide reporting, compliance, and process improvement while leading a small accounting-related team. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to balance daily execution with broader financial oversight in a dynamic business environment. This position will be REMOTE for our client based out of Oak Ridge, TN. Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Manager to oversee commercial credit and collections activities for our Knoxville, Tennessee team. This position plays a key role in evaluating customer accounts, supporting sound credit decisions, and helping maintain healthy cash flow across the business. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, confidence working with account portfolios, and the ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders while balancing risk and customer service. Responsibilities:• Lead commercial credit and collections efforts by reviewing account activity, following up on outstanding balances, and driving timely resolution of payment issues.• Assess credit applications and financial information to determine account risk, establish appropriate terms, and recommend or approve credit within established guidelines.• Monitor customer portfolios to identify exposure trends, delinquency concerns, and changing payment behavior that may require action.• Work closely with sales, finance, and customer-facing teams to resolve disputes, support account decisions, and maintain strong business relationships.• Maintain accurate credit records, collection notes, and account documentation within D365 and related internal systems.• Prepare and analyze aging reports, account status updates, and other metrics to support leadership visibility and informed decision-making.• Use Microsoft Excel to organize data, track receivables performance, and evaluate collection and credit trends.• Recommend process improvements that strengthen credit controls, improve collection results, and support operational efficiency.
