  • We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to support patient registration and front-desk operations for a Contract position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will create a welcoming experience for patients while managing intake, insurance review, appointment coordination, and payment collection with accuracy and professionalism. This opportunity is well suited for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-paced care setting, and handles sensitive information with discretion.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Welcome patients and visitors, guide them through the check-in process, and provide courteous front-desk support throughout their visit.<br>• Enter and update demographic, insurance, and medical information in the appropriate records system with a high degree of accuracy.<br>• Review insurance eligibility, confirm coverage details, and help patients understand copays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket costs.<br>• Process patient payments, issue receipts, and maintain organized financial records in accordance with office procedures.<br>• Schedule appointments, adjust calendars as needed, and coordinate with care teams to accommodate urgent scheduling needs.<br>• Respond to questions and concerns from patients and families in a calm, respectful, and service-oriented manner.<br>• Communicate with insurance carriers to clarify benefits, resolve discrepancies, and keep registration details current.<br>• Support daily administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, data entry, and maintaining an orderly reception area.
