  • <p>We are looking for a part time Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day financial operations for an agriculture-focused organization in Fresno, California. This contract position with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will contribute to accurate recordkeeping, timely reconciliations, and smooth coordination of routine accounting activities using QuickBooks and Excel.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process vendor invoices accurately, assign appropriate coding, and help ensure payments are completed within established timelines.</p><p>• Record incoming customer payments, track outstanding balances, and assist with maintaining current accounts receivable records.</p><p>• Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, credit card activity, and other balance sheet accounts to support accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Maintain organized vendor documentation and update account records to keep financial information complete and accessible.</p><p>• Assist with reviewing account activity, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues through timely follow-up and research.</p><p>• Use QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to enter transactions, prepare supporting schedules, and monitor routine accounting data.</p><p>• Support general accounting operations by helping keep financial records accurate, consistent, and ready for internal review.</p>
