We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage essential accounting operations and oversee the month-end close process for a manufacturing company in Morrisville, North Carolina. In this role, you will handle various aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a Contract position offering hybrid flexibility, with part-time and long-term options available. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record journal entries for revenue, accounts receivable, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, and payroll in compliance with US accounting standards. • Conduct detailed account reconciliations and assist in generating monthly financial statements along with variance analysis. • Manage bank account reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensure daily cash balancing workflows are completed. • Provide support for customer inquiries and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address accounting-related matters. • Assist in preparing for both internal and external audits by gathering relevant documentation and responding to requests. • Research and apply technical accounting standards to ensure compliance with updated policies and procedures. • Contribute to special projects, including system enhancements, process improvements, and accounting tasks related to mergers and acquisitions. • Monitor and ensure accuracy in transactional workflows to maintain financial integrity. • Identify opportunities for streamlining accounting processes and implementing best practices. • Support the adoption of new accounting standards to align with organizational goals.
