- We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to support core financial operations for a manufacturing organization in Van Buren Twp, Michigan. This Long-term Contract position will focus on maintaining accurate accounting records, processing key transactions, and helping ensure timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and general ledger activity, along with strong Excel skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage day-to-day accounting activities across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing to support accurate financial operations.<br>• Prepare and review account and bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and resolving outstanding items promptly.<br>• Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy to support monthly and periodic close activities.<br>• Process payroll-related accounting transactions and verify supporting documentation for completeness and correctness.<br>• Analyze financial data in Excel using formulas and related tools to identify trends, validate balances, and improve reporting accuracy.<br>• Partner with internal stakeholders to address invoice, payment, and account issues while maintaining strong service and compliance standards.<br>• Assist with ongoing accounting process support within SAP, including transaction review and data validation as needed.
