  • <p><strong>Benefits Manager/Specialist</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Our trusted client is looking for a Benefits Manager / Specialist to support benefits administration for their non-profit organization in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent, is part-time at 24 hours per week, and is ideal for someone who can confidently manage day-to-day benefits operations, vendor coordination, and employee support. The person in this role will partner closely with brokers, accounting, and internal stakeholders to keep enrollments, billing, and payroll-related benefit data accurate and timely.</p><p><br></p><p>The day-to-day responsibilities include:</p><p>• Administer employee benefit programs and oversee routine benefits activity, including enrollments, updates, and general plan maintenance.</p><p>• Serve as a primary contact for external brokers and coordinate with multiple benefit providers across medical, dental, vision, and related plans.</p><p>• Partner with accounting on a biweekly basis to gather and validate payroll-related benefits information for accurate processing.</p><p>• Review, reconcile, and submit benefit invoices to ensure carrier billing is accurate and paid on schedule.</p><p>• Maintain employee census records and benefits tracking documents using detailed spreadsheets and organized reporting.</p><p>• Meet with new employees to explain available benefit options, answer questions, and guide them through the enrollment process.</p><p>• Support leave-related benefits administration, including matters involving FMLA, COBRA, and employee situations that may require attention to different state leave regulations.</p><p>• Assist with annual benefits enrollment preparation and execution, with particular focus on the calendar-year open enrollment cycle.</p><p>• Use Paycom to support benefits administration tasks, employee data updates, and related recordkeeping activities.</p>
