The individual in this role will lead the accounting team, coordinate close activities, and partner with business leaders on financial analysis and compliance matters.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Direct daily accounting functions across the general ledger and related workflows to support accurate and timely financial reporting.</p><p>• Lead monthly and annual close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and results are properly reviewed.</p><p>• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in alignment with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements.</p><p>• Approve journal entries and reconciliations while monitoring account activity for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.</p><p>• Provide financial insight and responsive support to leadership on profit and loss performance, balance sheet items, and special analyses.</p><p>• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal control practices designed to reduce risk and promote compliance.</p><p>• Partner with external auditors and assist with tax reporting and other statutory or regulatory filing needs.</p><p>• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by contributing financial data, evaluating variances, and explaining operating results.</p><p>• Coach, develop, and oversee accounting staff by assigning work, reviewing output, and managing performance expectations.</p><p>• Contribute to accounting system implementation efforts through design input, testing participation, rollout support, and occasional travel as needed.</p>

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to improve processes in a deadline-driven healthcare environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct the work of an offshore accounting team and provide guidance across close and reporting activities for several business units.<br>• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.<br>• Evaluate journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed-asset accounting, supporting schedules, and management reporting materials before final submission.<br>• Analyze financial results, identify unexpected variances or unresolved items, and drive corrective action with appropriate stakeholders.<br>• Act as the primary domestic contact for offshore staff, business-unit finance leaders, auditors, and shared-services management.<br>• Track service performance, enforce close timetables, and uphold quality expectations across accounting outputs.<br>• Support audit requests and assist with compliance efforts related to internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.<br>• Promote consistency in accounting practices by reinforcing policies, strengthening controls, and recommending workflow improvements.<br>• Contribute to broader accounting optimization initiatives designed to increase efficiency and standardization across the close process.
